Why We Ride
We decided to start a Peloton this year because we want to make a difference in our community. I can't think of a better way to do that than by supporting cancer research at the James, one of the top cancer research facilities in the country. We have all been touched by friends, family members, coworkers, vendors, and customers stricken by cancer.
National Guard and Reserve Force
Congratulations to Jeff Mauk for receiving an award for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve from the Office of Secretary of Defense. This is for contributing to National Security and protecting Liberty and Freedom by supporting Employee Participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force. CDR Donald Ross, Commanding Officer presented the award to Jeff.
Olentangy Youth Athletic Association
Jack Maxton Chevrolet is supporting Olentangy Youth Athletic Association for the 2011 season. Jack Maxton gave OYAA 2,000 raffle tickets to sell for $5 a piece, totaling $10,000 if all sold. The raffle ticket is for a drawing to win a new Equinox or a new Chevy Cruze. We at Jack Maxton are very honored to help this community baseball league with the project of building a new baseball field. OYAA is growing so quickly and they are running out field space for their teams. All proceeds from selling the raffle tickets will go directly to OYAA.
Jack Maxton also presented OYAA with equipment kits complete with equipment bags, baseball buckets, dugout managers, and Chevy Youth Baseball t-shirts. Bill Bowen, General Sales Manager for Jack Maxton Chevrolet comments, "Baseball is a great American past-time and Chevrolet is proud to have a longstanding history with this tradition on a national level. OYAA is bringing that level of commitment for youth baseball to the community, where our customers and their families live. Our youth baseball program is truly cherished and we are happy and excited to support the kids in a significant way."
